December 2007: Meteo Consult joins SPA-JIP
Meteo Consult has joined the international Service Performance Analysis Joint Industry Project. The project is lead by MARIN (Maritime Research Institute of the Netherlands) and is made up of about 20 major companies involved in the shipping industry.
The objective of the project is to design a model which will in the future enable ships to optimize service performance, save fuel and reduce CO2 emissions.
